About Us

Live It Naturally is a division of The Feel Good Company, LLC, owned and managed by Iris Shedlock. imag0021-revised.jpg

Iris has an educational background in Nutritional Science graduating with a Masters from the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, CT. She now focuses her counseling services on phone and online consults as she feels this opens up more options for those who just don't have the time to participate in an in-person visit. On her website, Live It Naturally, you can purchase not only phone/online consults with her but you can easily purchase quality nutritional supplements and personal/body care products.

Speaking of dietary supplements, they are not all created equal. You may think you are getting a bargain at that discount mega store down the street but if your body cannot absorb it or you are exposing your health to all sorts of additives from these bargains, is it really worth it? You end up paying more in the long run.

The Live It Naturally website is an evolving site that will be growing and changing as time goes on. We want you to be a part of that growth. Send us your thoughts and feedback on what you would like to see here.

Live It Naturally is not a "mega" online store offering every brand and product under the sun, but instead we prefer to offer products and companies that are of high quality. This is indeed to your advantage as well as being much less confusing with an overabundance of choices.

If you do not see a product on our site, send us an email to inquire whether or not we can get it for you.

As a Wellness Specialist, I actively work alongside clients to take back their lives, moving beyond the diagnosis of heart disease, diabetes, and arthritis. Conventional medicine has become so focused on the diagnosis that it loses sight of the underlying causes. Alternative therapies, in all its forms, nutrition, homeopathy, herbal medicine, acupuncture, chiropractic, massage, plus others, support the healing process to achieve long-term success.

If you choose to participate in a nutritional consult with me (phone or email), I will offer specific suggestions and recommendations in the area of diet, nutrition, dietary supplementation, lifestyle, and general wellness practices. Any additional natural modalities/therapies that I believe to be a wise addition to your wellness plan will be reviewed.

Although medical doctors and conventional medicine have their place in health care, the conventional medical paradigm has many shortcomings when used for anything but acute care and can even be dangerous because it is superficial. Its dominance in health care has given us a false sense of security, having us believe that the drugs approved for use are safe for the target population, that they undergo rigid, objective testing prior to approval, and that they actually correct chronic health problems. Many supporters of the conventional medical paradigm want to exclude the re-emerging natural health paradigm because they want us to believe that such alternatives are unsafe, untested, and unproven. Others are quickly realizing that natural health therapies can be a beneficial adjunct to current conventional treatment and can even offer hope to those patients conventional medicine has given up on.

My Vision for the Future of Wellness Care

  • A Wellness Care System that truly empowers health promotion rather than symptom suppression
  • A Wellness Care System that promotes optimal wellness by respecting a person’s wholeness and uniqueness
  • A Wellness Care System that encourages and expects active participation in one’s own health care
  • A Wellness Care System that frowns upon a one-size-fits-all mentality
  • A Wellness Care System that seeks out nontoxic, noninvasive therapies first and foremost
  • A Wellness Care System that remains true to its ethic of "Do no harm"

In Good Health,

Iris Shedlock, MS
